The body of a woman was recovered from her house at Faridarpar area under Chandgaon Police Station on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Rahima, 35, wife of former Cultural Secretary of Chittagong Lawyers’ Association Ehtashamul Parvez of the area.
Ehtashamul Parvez said he found Rahima’s body tied with rope inside his room around 3pm and informed police. Officer-in-Charge of Chandgaon Police Station Abul Bashar said Rahima might have been killed by suffocation. “Investigation is on to find out whoever is behind the killing.”
