Lawyers have been boycotting court in Kishoreganj for an indefinite period over misbehaving with a fellow of them and handcuffing him on Wednesday. They also vandalized court room.
Adv Mir Iqbal Hossain Biplob of Kishoreganj Judge Court locked in an altercation with the judge asked him why he took the file . The special Judge Md Solaiman, later, ordered the on-duty police to handcuff him.
Being informed, other lawyers rushed to the court and rescued him from being detained by law enforcers.
In an emergency meeting on Wednesday afternoon. Bar President Adv Miah Md. Ferdous, Secretary Adv Shahidul Alam Shahid and Former Bar President and P.P Adv Shah Azizul Hoque announced to boycott the court of Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal- 2 Judge Md. Solaiman. At one stage, some lawyers vandalisded the court ‘aglash’. Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation brought under control.
Bar Association declared to boycott the court until the special judge is withdrawn from Kishoreganj and urged the Supreme Court Registrar and Law Secretary to remove the judge immediately.
Bar Association also decided to abstain from the activities of all courts in Kishoreganj on Wednesday on protest of the judges misbehavior and unlawful act.
