A young lawyer was killed on the spot when a bus named Anonna Paribahan ran over his motorbike Ghialaknadi Madaya para in Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj on Wednesday morning.
The victim was identified as advocate Shahen Shah (32) of Kishoreganj Judge Court.
Locals and Highway police said that, the accident when advocate Shahen Shah was going to a court around 9 a.m. Soon after the accident, locals blocked the road, vandalised the bus and tried to torch it, OC Katiadi Md. Iqbal Hayed added. On information police and transport association leaders rushed to the spot and brought situation under control.
Police seized the bus and arrested its driver Ripon (27). The body was sent to Kishoreganj 250-Bed General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was fields in this connection with Katiadi Highway Police Station.
