A lawyer was crushed under a train at Shashongachha in the district town on Saturday evening.
The deceased was identified as Asharey Khoda Titu, 50, son of Prof Sultan Ahammed hailing from Thakurpara Baganbari area in the town and a government law officer at Cumilla court.
In-charge of Cumilla Rail Station police camp Md Misbah-ul-Alam Chowdhury said police recovered the body from the rail line around 8pm on information and sent it to Cumilla Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
