A number of lawmakers of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) planted saplings on the parliament premises on Tuesday on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The lawmakers are- Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives (LGRD) Minister Md Tajul Islam, Whip Shamsul Hoque Chowdhury, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali, Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, Md. Mokbul Hossain of Pabna-3 constituency, AFM Ruhul Haque of Shatkhira-3 constituency, Md. Mojaffa Hossain of Jamalpur-5 constituency, Meher Afroze of Gazipur-4 constituency, Badruddoza Md. Frohad Hossain of Brahmanbaria-1 constituency, Dipankar Talukder of Rangamati constituency, Hosne Ara of women seat-16 and Sayeda Rubina Akter of women seat-28.
Marking the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, this program is being conducted on the parliament premises as part of the plan to plant one crore saplings across the country announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Among others, concerned officials and employees of the Secretariat of Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad and PWD were present at the tree planting program.
