Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Sunday said, the ongoing drive is not only against casinos, it is also against all lawbreakers.
“There is no ‘godfather’ in the country. If anyone commits crimes, he will be tried. We are doing it,” Asaduzzaman Khan said.
“We work for governance and prosperity and peace under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Whoever be the wrongdoer, no matter whether he or she is a public representative or a government officer, he will face action,” the Minister said.
The Minister passed the remarks while talking to reporters after attending a programme at Ansar VDP Academy in Gazipur’s Shafipur.
Asked about the legality of the online casino business, Asaduzzaman, said, “I’ve heard about it from media for the first time. We’ll investigate …if you’ve any information, please share with us and we’ll check it.”
