The overall law and order situation of Netrakona district was reviewed in a meeting of the district law and order committee held at the conference room of Netrakona DC office here on Thursday. Chaired by Deputy commissioner (DC) and also district magistrate Netrakona DR. Abul Kalam Azad, the meeting was addressed, among others, by police super Netrakona Jakir Hussain Khan, additional district magistrate Abdur Rahim, additional deputy commissioner (general ) Abdullah -AL- Mamun and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rev) Yousuf Ali. The meeting sources said, all the chairmen and upazila nirbahi officers from the ten upazilas and chairman from five municipalities under the district attended the meeting. It discussed the methods relating to the methods of preventing crimes , terrorism and anti-social activities. The meeting informed that the overall law and order situation of the district remained satisfactory and the rate of the incidents of different crime, terrorism and anti-social activities continued maintaining downward trend. Speaking at the meeting, the DC and district magistrate DR Azad underlined the need for concerted efforts of all including officials of administrative machineries and law-enforcing agencies and public representatives to continue the trend of improvement of the law and order situation of the district.
