The monthly district law and order committee meeting was held in Rangamati on Sunday morning.
It was informed at the meeting that the overall law and order situation in the district was normal, and after the horrific landslide of June 13 last, the overall situation gradually becomes normal.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Manzarul Mannan presided over the meeting.
Superintendent of Police of Rangamati Syed Tariqul Hasan, Civil Surgeon Dr. Shahid Talukder, Zila Parishad Member Tridip Kanti Das, and members of the district law and order committee were also present. Additional District Magistrate Mohammad Shahadat Hossain presented the district law and order report of last August.
The DC and SP urged all to be aware about Rohingya refugees in Rangamati hill district including the entry of Rohingya voters. Besides, everyone has been asked to remain vigilant to avoid any confusing propaganda on Rohingya issue.
