UNB, Dhaka :
BNP on Sunday alleged that law enforcers are playing the role of ‘collaborators’ of the ruling party ‘cadres’ in repressing and attacking their opponents.
In a statement, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also alleged that the criminals are getting encouraged to indulge in misdeeds due to the government’s
‘patronage’, law enforcers’ assistance and the culture of impunity.
The statement was issued protesting the ‘attack and vandalising’ of BNP’s Tangail district unit office on Friday.
Fakhrul said Awami League ‘cadres’ attacked the BNP office as part of their continued countrywide ‘criminal activities’. “I strongly condemn it.”
He alleged that the country has now turned into a den of ‘terrorism’ as the government wants to cling to power terrifying people with its repressive acts.
The BNP leader warned the ruling party that it will not be able to hang onto power with repressive acts. “Instead, you’ll get isolated from people further for your misrule.”
