Law debate at Premier University

Final round of law debate competition arranged by Debate Club of Law (DCL) of Law Department of Premier University, Chittagong has been held at its KC Dey Road Campus.
16 total teams of Premier University Law Department participated in this logical fight on national and international contemporary important legal issues.
The selected subject for the final episode of parliamentary debate was the “This House would prohibit putting to death as punishment”.
In this regard, the opposition party ‘Rule of Law’ achieves the glory of being the champion by the government party ‘Bonafied’. Pujan Bhattacharya award as the best debater and Sabbir from the champion team get the Memorial award.
Tanajina Alam Chowdhury, Chairman of the Department of Law presided over the prize giving ceremony. Secretary of the Hill Land Dispute Settlement Commission (Joint District Judge), Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman attended as the chief guest.
Students of the faculty of law of the Premier University have already been taken their seats in the leadership by proving qualification, said the chief guest.
Joint District Judge of Comilla, AEM Ismail Hossain; Proctor of Premier University, Noor Mohammad; Moderator of Debate Club of Law, Ahmed Rajib Chowdhury; Moderator of Premier University Debating Society (PUDS), Sanjay Biswas and Hillol Shaha also spoke on the ceremony.
In the meantime, teachers’ of the Law Department- Meher Nigar, Fahmida Quader, Farid Uddin Ahmed Noman, Yasmin Farzana and Meherunessa Begum was attended in the ceremony. The ceremony was performed by the President of PUDS, Saber Shah.
