Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Md Fazle Rabbi Miah emphasized on enacting a law to prevent sexual harassment.
“A law must be enacted for the prevention and protection against sexual harassment”, a press release quoted him on Monday saying that while addressing as the chief guest a discussion on ‘Sexual Harassment Prevention and Protection Act, 2019’.
The discussion was arranged by the Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights and National Girl Child Advocacy Forum.
The Deputy Speaker said that the draft has to be sent to the JS committee on law to scrutinize and then to the chairman of Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights, added the release.
