A mobile court, conducted by Armed Police Battalion (APBn) , fined Lavender Super Shop, a chain shop, Tk 3 lakh on charges of selling unauthorized goods at Shahjadpur in the city on Sunday.
A special team of APBN-5 led by its Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Md Saidur Rahman carried out an anti-adulterated drive at Shahjadpur. During the drive, the law enforcers entered the chain shop of Lavender Super
Sho at 30/2 Progati Sarani of Shahjadpur and found that various products like Dove Shampoo, Sun Silk Shampoo, Surf Excel, Colgate toothpaste, Sensodyne toothpaste and Pond’s powder were being sold without appropriate license from the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institute.
Executive Magistrate of the mobile court Tania Sultana fined the manager of the super shop Md Shisit Mondol Tk 3 lakh under BSTI Ordinance in this connection, said Media officer of APBn-5 ASP Amirul Islam.
BSTI Field Officer Rezanur Rahman Sarker was also present during the drive.
