Jyotirindra Bodhipriya Larma alias Santu Larma, chairman of Chittagong Hill Tracts Regional Council, has
threatened to go for several movements including enforcement of hartal and blockade from January 1 demanding implementation of the CHT Peace Treaty.
Santu Larma, also the president of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samiti (PCJSS) announced the programme while addressing a public rally as a chief guest organised by PCJSS at gymnasium ground in Rangamati, marking the 18th anniversary of the agreement with the government.
The PCJSS leader also announced a 10-point programme to press home their demand about implementation of the CHT Peace Treaty. The programme includes-to boycott those found involved in pampering people for political issue, hartal, blockade, financial blockade, raising voice against illegal establishments in tourism centre, boycotting government and semi-government offices and resisting illegal land acquisition and land grabbing.
Besides, Santu Larma also urged the government to set a time for announcing a road map for the implementation of the CHT Peace Treaty. General Secretary of Bangladesh workers’ Party Fazle Hossain Badsha MP, Comorade Shah Alam, general secretary of Chittagong unit Bangladesh Communist Party, Parbatya Chattagram Nagarik Committee President Goutam Dewan, Jatiya Adibasi Parishad President Rabindra Nath Saren were attended in the rally.
