Chief of Bangladesh Navy (BN) Rear Admiral Nezamuddin Ahmed said BN will start to build big size warships and commercial ships at Chittagong Dry Dock (CDD) as Navy show their performance in the field of ship building at Narayangonj and Khulna shipyard.
He said that after the achievement of private sector in ship building industry, the government has also taken initiative to build big size ships by Bangladesh Navy at CDD.
The Chief of BN said this while reviewing the parade and took salute at the impressive march past as chief guest at the President Parade held at Bangladesh Naval Academy Parade Ground to mark the commissioning ceremony of the cadets of BN-2014, ‘B’ batch.
Speaking the occasion, Chief of BN Rear Admiral Nezamuddin Ahmed reminded the new recruit cadets of their sacred duties to the country and nation and urged them to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity to protect sea resources in the country.
A total of 41 midshipmen including three Palestinian cadets here formally passed out and have been commissioned in Bangladesh Navy through a colorful ceremony at Navy Parade Ground on wednesdsay..
The Navy chief also distributed the medals and awards among the cadets for their outstanding performance in the academy.
Among other high ranking civil and Naval officials, parents and guardians of the cadets witness the joyous and gratifying ceremony.
