Lanning’s ton set up massive victory for Australia

Top order batsman Meg Lanning scored her maiden T20 ton saw Australia to post 78 runs victory over Ireland in their third match of the ICC Women’s World T20 held on Thursday at the Sylhet Stadium.
Chasing Australia’s 191 runs, Irelands found the chase very stiff and restricted at 113 in for 7 in 20 overs.
Ellyse Perry and Erin Osborne bagged two wickets each for Australia giving away 17 and 29 runs respectively.
Earlier, Australia amassed a massive total of 191 for 4 from their allotted 20 overs against Ireland, after they opted to bat first.
The right handed batsman Meg Lanning played an impressive 65- ball off 126- run smacking four over boundaries and 18 boundaries while Delissa Kimmince added 34-ball off 35-run that studded four fours.
Elena Tice, Isobel Joyce and Eimear Richardson took one wicket each for Ireland conceding 25, 32 and 50 runs respectively.
