LankaBangla Finance has become the “overall winner” in all nine categories of the Safa BPA Award for 2014.
The company also won the first place under the financial services sector category for the same year, the company said in a statement.
Safa, the South Asian Federation of Accountants, is the apex body of professional accountancy bodies of South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (Saarc) and an acknowledged accounting grouping of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
Safa presents the annual awards in nine categories, including private sector banks, public sector banking institutions, insurance sector, financial services sector, manufacturing sector, communication and information technology sector, services sector, non-governmental organisations and agricultural sector.
Winners are judged on their published annual reports, transparency, accountability and governance in financial reporting, according to the statement.
The award has been distributed at a ceremony organized on 30th January at Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore, Pakistan. The Managing Director along with Chief Financial Officer of LankaBangla Finance Limited attended the impressive ceremony and received the prestigious award.
