Lanka stun England beating by 20 runs

Sri Lanka stunned England as the islanders defeated the hosts by 20 runs in their match of the ICC World Cup Cricket at Leeds in England on Friday.
Electing to bat first, Sri Lanka made a modest total of 232 for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 50 overs and then  
 all out England for 212 off 47 overs.
One-down Joe Root knocked a fine 57. His 89-ball innings was belted with three fours.
Ben Stokes remained unbeaten with 82.
Lasith Malinga captured four wickets at the cost of 43 runs, while Dhananjaya de Silva grabbed three wickets instead of 32 runs. Isuru Udana captured two wickets instead of 41 runs.
Besides, Nuwan Pradeep took one wicket for 38 runs.
Earlier, Angelo Mathews was his team’s most successful batman. He remained unbeaten with 85. His 115-ball innings was studded with five fours and a six.
Avishka Fernando hit a superb 49. His 39-ball innings saw six fours and two sixes.
Kusal Mendis knocked a polished 46. His 68-ball innings had two fours. Dhananjaya de Silva scored 29 from 47 balls.
Mark Wood and Jofra Archer grabbed three wickets each at the cost of 40 and 52 runs respectively, while Adil Rashid bagged a pair of wickets at the cost of 45 runs.
Besides, Chris Woakes took one wicket for 22 runs.
Lasith Malinga was adjudged the Man of the Match for his match-winning bowling performance.
