Lanka-Bangla 2nd ODI abandoned

The 2nd One Day International (ODI) match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka was abandoned due to heavy rain at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla, Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
The Tigers have a 1-0 lead as they thrashed the Lions by 90 runs in the 1st
ODI at the same venue on March 25.
Electing to bat first, Sri Lanka piled up a healthy total of 311 off 49.5 overs. Kusal Mendis notched up his maiden ODI century. He hit 102. His 107-ball innings was laced with nine fours and a sixer.
On the other hand, pacer Taskin Ahmed hit a hat-trick. He dismissed Asela Gunaratne in the third ball of the day’s last over. Then he dismissed Suranga Lakmal in the fourth ball and harpooned Nuwan Pradeep in the fifth ball.
After that it started rain and the heavy downpour washed out the 2nd ODI match.
Taskin Ahmed is the fifth Bangladeshi bowler, who hit hat-trick in the ODI match. Earlier, pacer Shahadat Hossain, spinner Abdur Razzak, pacer Rubel Hossain and spinner Taijul Islam hit hat-trick in their respective ODI matches.
