Language Veteran Mahbubar Rahman passes away

Language movement veteran Adv Mahbubar Rahman Dulu died due to old age complications at his Nil Protiva Para residence of Nilphamari town at 6.15 a.m on Tuesday.
He was 78.
He left behind his wife two sons and two daughters and large number of admirers to mourn his death.
In 1952, as a high school student, he actively took part in the Language Movement and passed a long time as fugitive as Pakistani junta issued body warrant against him hindering his normal studies.
He was a prominent face in the cultural arena of the district and composed many songs, poems and dramas with patriotic feeling.
Without him, any cultural function could not be imagined during Pakistan period and after the independence.
He took law practice as his profession and became a public prosecutor .
His nanaj-e-janaja was held at the court mosque premises after Johor prayer where judges of Nilphamari judgeship, judicial magistrates, his colleague lawyers, admirers and large number of people attended. Later, he was buried at circuit house graveyard in afternoon.
