The country’s landports earned a total revenue of Taka 111.44 crore in 2016-17 fiscal while the expenditure was Taka 53.44 crore.
This was disclosed at the 48th meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Shipping Ministry on Thursday with its Chairman Major ((Retd) Rafiqul Islam in the chair, said an official release.
Committee members Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, Talukder Abdul Khaleq, Md Abdul Hai, Md Habibur Rahman, M Abdul Latif and Md Anowarur Azim (Anar) were present in the meeting at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban.
