A boy named Raja Mia, 9, has reportedly been killed by criminals for ransom in Ashulia of Savar, outskirts of Dhaka. Police suspect that a couple has killed the boy for not getting ransom. Police has arrested one person in this connection.
The incident took place around 10pm on Sunday (March 28) at the house of Kalam Madbor in Tongabari area of Ashulia. Ashulia Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Al Amin confirmed the matter on Monday morning.
The deceased Raja was the son of Kalam Madbor of the area. The accused are Liza and Ariful. They were tenants of the second floor of Kalam Madbor’s house. Police have arrested Liza in the incident. Ariful Islam is currently on the run. He is the son of Aziz Sheikh at Bhatshal village under Aminpur Thana in Pabna district.
