The landless people of Ulipur upazila in Kurigram brought out demonstration on Monday demanding immediate allotment of khas land among the landless people. At the end of demonstration they observed programme in front of the office of Assistant Commissioner of land and submitted a memorandum to him. Sources said more than one hundred people of Berohim village under Bazra union are disconnected with the Teesta river became landless. They applied to the concerned union land office for allotment of khas land. They brought out demonstration and paraded main roads of the upazila as they did not receive any allotment of khas land after one year.Assistant Commissioner of land of Ulipur upazila Amin Al Parvez while assured them for allotment after completing the official activities, they with drew their programme.
