Land Secretary Md Muksodur Rahman Patwary on Thursday directed the officials concerned to work more speedily to reduce congestion of pending cases.
He made the direction at the monthly coordination meeting at the conference room of the Ministry of Land at Secretariat here with Land Secretary in the chair, said a press release.
In the meeting, it was informed that 93 out of 1,661 cases, including old and new ones, were settled in the last month in the Land Appeal Board. The Land Secretary directed the officials working in the Ministry of Land to submit reports after inspecting field-level land offices and making sudden visits there.
Additional secretaries of the ministry, other officials and heads of various agencies as well as their representatives attended the meeting.
