Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) officials here caught red-handed an official of Agrabad Land Office at Sholoshahar area in the city while receiving bribe at their office at about 11 am here on Tuesday.
The ACC officials also seized Taka 10 thousand bribe money red handed while taking it from a flat owner, the ACC officials said.
The land official was identified as Sanjib Kumar Dey, an Assistant Land Officer (ALO) of Agrabad circle Land Office, situated at city’s Sholoshahar area .
Following specific information, a team of ACC personnel led by Assistant Director of ACC, Chittagong region Mosharf Hossain Mrida ambushed at the land office and caught red handed ALO Sanjib Kumar Dey with Taka 10 thousand in cash while he was receiving money as bribe from a flat owner who went there to complete his mutation at about 11 am on Tuesday.
