Land documents for Rangamati Science Varsity handed over to UGC Chairman

The legal documents of 64-acre land, for construction of permanent campus of Rangamati Science and Technology University, have been handed over to the university authority.
Rangamati Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Manzarul Mannan handed over the documents to Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC) Professor Abdul Mannan during a ceremonial programme which was held at DC’s conference room on Saturday.
Vice-Chancellor of Rangamati Science and Technology University Dr. Prodanendu Bikas Chakma, former Dean of Bangladesh Agricultural University and educationist Dr. Manik Lal Dewan, Superintendent of Police Sayed Tariqul Hasan, Civil Surgeon Shahid Talukder, former Municipal Mayor Dr. AK Dewan were also present on the occasion.
Chairman of the UGC Professor Abdul Mannan said, “The government is building the Rangamati University of Science and Technology and Rangamati Medical College to ensure higher education in the hill district.
The development of the university’s permanent campus was initiated with the transfer of land documents.
The campus will be constructed through the use of modern technology.”
DC Mohammad Manzarul Mannan said the process of land acquisition for Rangamati Medical College is in the final phase.
