Katalyst, a market development project under Ministry of Commerce, and HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation (HSI), an international NGO jointly organized an event on “National Launching of Local Agri-business Network (LAN) Programme” held at National Institute of Local Government (NILG) auditorium, Dhaka recently.
The objective of the workshop was to share the concept, strategies and model of LAN program with the officials from Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), Department of Livestock Services (DLS) and Department of Fisheries (DoF), and finding out way for collaboration at national and local level among three departments for utilizing the LAN model.
Professor Shamsul Alam, Ph.D, Honorable, Member, General Economics Division, Planning Commission was present as chief guest. Mr. Piyush Kanti Sarker, Additional Director, DAE, Dr. Mrinal Kanti Mitra, Principal, OTI, DLS, and Mr. Md. Israil Golder, Director, DoF were present as special guests.
