A priest of a church in the district town filed a general diary with the local police on Saturday night as he received death threat through a letter claimed to have been sent from ISIS.
Tapan Kumar Barman, father of Church of God, filed the GD with Sadar Police Station.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station AHM Mahfuzur Rahman said Tapan had received death threat through the letter on Thursday.
He received the letter from Bangladesh commander of Middle East-based militant outfit Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). The letter sender threatened the priest to stay ready to receive death by December 20.
