With the conviction of building a planned and clean city, the budget of Lalmonirhat Municipality for the financial year 2021-2022 has been announced at a cost of Tk. 41 crore 24 lakh 71 thousand 5 hundred 98 without any tax. The budget was announced by Municipal Mayor Md Rezaul Karim Swapan on Wednesday in the presence of journalists of print and electronic media, lawyers, business leaders and people of all walks of life at the district Muktijoddha Complex hall.
Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad Kamruzzaman Sujan and Director of Chamber of Commerce Mokshedur Rahman spoke. Councilors of the Municipal Council, Municipal Secretary Hasanuzzaman Basunia, Accounts Officer, Executive Engineer, Medical Officer and other officials and employees were present in the performance of Municipal Accountant Shafiqul Islam Patwari.
The proposed income in the budget is 9 crore 75 lakh 61 thousand 305 taka in the revenue sector, 75 lakh 14 thousand 536 taka in the water supply sector and 30 crore 53 lakh 75 thousand 8 hundred 54 taka in the development sector.
9 crore 53 lakh 75 thousand taka in the revenue sector, 60 lakh taka in the water supply sector, 30 crore 52 lakh 50 thousand 103 taka in the infrastructure development sector.
At the end of the year, the surplus has been set at Tk 32 lakh 7 thousand 3 hundred 5 in the revenue sector, 5 lakh 14 thousand 5 hundred 37 in the water supply sector and 1 lakh 25 thousand 6 hundred 24 in the development sector.
