Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested Abul Hossain, prime accused in cases filed over burning the body of a man after lynching him in Lalmonirhat, from Kuril Biswa Road in Dhaka early Saturday.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s deputy police commissioner Walid Hossain confirmed the news on Saturday morning.
Acting on a tip-off, a DB police team from the Mirpur Division took position in the area early Saturday morning and nabbed Abul Hossain just after he got down from a bus.
Later, he was handed over to Lalmonirhat police.
So far, a total of 21 people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
