Muslims across the country will observe the holy Lailatul Qadr, the night of divine blessings and benediction, on Friday night with due solemnity and religious fervour.The holy Quran was revealed on Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (pbuh) on this exalted night to show the mankind the path of worldly and eternal emancipation.This is one of the holiest and most blessed nights when angels descend with the order of Almighty Allah for the welfare of the faithful till dawn. Those who spend this night in prayer, experience an unimaginable bliss as a result of immense heavenly blessings. Muslim devotees will spend the night seeking divine blessings for peace and progress of the country and the Muslim Ummah.They will arrange milad mahfil, zikr, Quran Khwani and religious discussions at mosques and their houses at the holy night which is better than 1,000 months.A special munajat and waz mahfil, arranged by Islamic Foundation, will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on the holy night.Different television channels and radio stations will air special programmes while newspapers publish special supplements highlighting the significance of the night.Meanwhile, President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia have greeted the countrymen and the Muslims across the world on the eve of holy Lailatul Qadr.In separate messages, they prayed for continued peace, progress and prosperity of the country and the Muslim Ummah.
