Laila Cricket Club (CC) and Bright Morning Cricket Club (CC) recorded wins in their respective matches of the Raman Lamba & Daulat-uz-Zaman Twenty20 Cricket Tournament on Friday.
In the day’s first match, Laila Cricket Club beat Bangladesh Lawyers Cricket Club Limited by four wickets at Residential Model School Ground.
Chasing Bangladesh Lawyers Cricket Club’s total of 116 for the loss of seven wickets in the 20 overs, Laila Cricket Club coasted home in 15.3 overs making 120 runs for the loss of six wickets.
Shawon of Laila Cricket Club remained unbeaten with 51. His teammate Tipu made 23 runs.
Tanvi of Bangladesh Lawyers Cricket Club grabbed three wickets for 19 runs. Earlier, Obhi of Bangladesh Lawyers Cricket Club made 21 runs, while Rana scored 20 runs.
Shawon bagged a pair of wickets at the cost of 13 runs.
Shawon of Laila Cricket Club was adjudged the Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
In the day’s other match, Bright Morning Cricket Club defeated Acme by seven wickets at the same venue.
Sent into bat first, Acme scored 139 for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.
In reply, Bright Morning Cricket Club romped home in 16.3 overs making 140 for the loss of three wickets.
Kabir of Bright Morning Cricket Club hit 35, while Sifat made 32 and Sharif remained unbeaten with 27.
Earlier, Md Sharif of Acme made 27 runs, while Sumon scored 21 runs.
Sabuj of Bright Morning Cricket Club captured four wickets instead of 23 runs, while Sifat bagged a couple of wickets for 29 runs.
Sifat of Bright Morning Cricket Club was adjudged the Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
