Labu Rahman is a legendary guitar player in the country’s music arena. With love and passion he took fender guitar since 1973 till now he is playing it. Only for love playing guitar he has become a legendary guitar player. To train the new generation, he has been giving training on guitar playing at Music Planet in the city’s Gulshan since 2006.
After independence of the country, pop shows were held in the city’s Jonaki cinema hall. There Labu saw Fazle Rab to play sender guitar. From that time he started to love playing guitar. His elder brother Dr Shahjahan had a guitar. He tried to play that guitar at home. From that time he had been attached with playing guitar.
In 1977, Labu played guitar with Azam Khan’s band Uchcharon. He played there for two years at a time. While playing there he started to play it professionally. Later, he started to play guitar with then band symphony at Merry Anderson at Pagla in Narayanganj. Then he professionally played guitar with Dhaka Orchestra.
In 1986, he played guitar with late Samar Das at SAAF Games. In 1988, he joined popular band Feedback, which was formed in 1977. Till now he has been attached with this band.
While asking him about his satisfaction as a guitarist Labu Rahman said, “As a guitarist, I am a very happy person and also satisfied with it. I played guitar will all the artistes except new generation’s singers. Everybody pray for me as I can remain well.”s
