Laboni Akter has confessed to the police that she killed her husband with a sharp weapon over the husband’s second marriage in the city’s Kallayanpur area.
She also admitted that she dumped the body in a wardrobe after killing Salah Uddin (her husband) on Wednesday.
She made the statement into the custody of Mirpur Police Station on Saturday,
Mirpur thana OC Salahuddin Ahmed said.
The OC said that the killing happened early morning and Laboni Akter, 25, called the police around 8:00pm. Police suspect Akter’s parents and an uncle as being involved with the murder.
“It’s not possible for Laboni alone to kill Salah Uddin, 45. But she called the police and owned responsibility of the murder. The issue will be clear once her father and brother are arrested,” the OC said.
