Lab Aid Cardiac Hospital in the capital city has been fined Tk 10,00,000 for illegal use of its parking space as store room.
The mobile court of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) passed the order on Thursday while conducting drives to evict illegal installations.
 “RAJUK fined Lab Aid Cardiac Hospital Tk 10,00,000 for the illegal use of parking space. Earlier RAJUK had given one month time to the hospital authority to remove store room and other unaffiliated installations from the parking lots,” said Atiqur Rahman, the Assistant Director of RAJUK (Protocol and Public Relation).
He said that RAJUK has conducted the drive to remove all illegal installations and commercial use of buildings from both sides of the Green Road, Dhanmondi.
Officials said that some buildings were illegally used as guest houses, hotels, restaurants and bars.
The mobile court also evicted office room, toilet and other unauthorised installations from basement from holding-11 of Road No.05.
Besides this, the RAJUK also destroyed five shops from holding-2/B of Road No.06 as those were installed illegally.
RAJUK Executive Magistrate Nasir Hossain led the drive while Shah Alam Chowdhury, the Director of Zone-5, and other officials were present.
