Kyiv to send delegation for discussions at the Ukraine-Belarus border after days of bloody fighting.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Kyiv will send a delegation for talks “without preconditions” with Moscow at the Ukraine-Belarus border.
Agreement comes after phone call between Zelenskyy and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko
“The politicians have agreed that the Ukrainian delegation will meet with the Russian delegation without preconditions on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, near the Pripyat River,” President Volodymyr Zelensky’s office said.
“Aleksander Lukashenko has taken responsibility for ensuring that all planes, helicopters and missiles stationed on the Belarusian territory will remain on the ground during the Ukrainian delegation’s travel, meeting and return.”
Russian state news agencies also reported Sunday that a Russian presidential aide said that Ukraine had confirmed it would meet a delegation from the Russian Federation in the Gomel region of Belarus, without providing details about who would represent the Ukrainian side.
