The biennial election of Kurigram Press Club in 2016-2017 was held on Wednesday. The voting activities began at 10 am and ended at 2 pm in the Press Club. After counting all casting votes at 6pm the result declared. Mominul Islam Monju Kurigram district correspondent of the daily Samokal and Somoy TV and Shamol Bhoumik Kurigram correspondent of Channel-I have been elected President and Secretary respectively in 15 members panel based.The other office bearers are Md Younus Ali, News Editor of local Kurigram Khabor and Bureau chief of Natun Din and ,Rezaul Karim Reza of daily Naya Diganta as vice presidents, Ataur Rahman Biplop of Ekushey TV as joint secretary, Touhidul Islam Bakshi Thanda, correspondent of Shokaler Khabor as treasurer, Wahiduzzaman Tuhin, correspondent of Desh TV as office secretary, SM Ashraful Haque Rubel, correspondent of My TV, Shahin Ahmed, correspondent of Khabarpatra as sports secretary, Laily Begum correspondent of Baishakhi TV, Mabobkantho and the daily observer as literature and cultural secretary, Yousuf Alamgir, Correspondent of ATN Bangla, ATN news and daily Ajkaler Khabar as publicity and publication secretary, executive editor of the daily Kurigram Khabar Alok Sarkar, AB Siddique ,correspondent of Bhorer Kagoj,Fazley Elahi Sapwan, correspondent of the daily Ittefaq and Banglanews24.com and Zahidul Islam Zahid correspondent of GTV and Khola Kagoj have been elected as members working council.
