Mother of popular singer Kumar Bishwajit, Shova Rani Dey will be honoured as Gorobini Maa on the occasion of coming Mother’s Day on May 13.
Managing Director of Universal Medical College and Hospital Dr Ashish Chakraborty confirmed the matter yesterday. He said that they will honour mother of Bishwajit at the hospital convention hall where Home Minister Asaduzzaman Kamal will be present as the chief guest.
While sharing his feelings Kumar Bishwajit said, “With my mother’s interest I became a singer. I feel proud of it. I am really delighted and also excited for getting the award. It is basically my greatest achievement in my life. My mom has passed eight decades of her life. Everybody pray for her.”
