KUET admission test begins on October 28

The admission test for the first year BSC-Engineering and Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (BURP) courses in Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) under 2016-17 academic year will be held on October 28. At least 13 aspirants will vie for a seat in the first year honours courses in KUET.
KUET sources said a total of 12,717 admission seekers have finally selected for 1,005 seats in 14 departments under BSC Engineering and BRUP courses.
Three new departments will launch for the 2016 – 2017 academic year where more 130 students to get opportunities for admission this year.
Earlier, a total of 13,224 aspirants have applied for KUET seats, but 12,717 aspirants were selected for admission test after scrutiny.
The admission test will be held from 9.30 am to 12.00pm at seven centers. The centers are KUET campus, KUET High School, Teachers Training College (TTC), Higher Secondary Teachers Training Institute (HSTTI), Govt. Laboratory High School, Boys Technical Training Center (BTTC) and Girls Technical Training Center (GTTC).
Each 120 students will be admitted at four departments. The departments are Computer Engineering (CE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE).
Meanwhile, each 60 students will be admitted at six departments. The departments are Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE), Leather Engineering (LE), Textile Engineering (TE), Building Engineering and Construction Management (BECM), and Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning (BURP).
A total of 30 students will be admitted at the Bio-Medical Engineering (BME), 40 students will be admitted at the Architecture Department, 60 students will be admitted at the Material Science and Engineering Department and 30 students will be admitted at the Energy Science and Engineering Department while five are reserve seats.
