The first ever “Kuakata Mega Beach Carnival” began on Saturday with the aim to make the sandy beach of Bangladesh familiar as a popular tourist destination both locally and internationally.
With the slogan of “Sun-Fun-Gaan”, the mega tourism event started through a colorful rally with the participation of ministers, high officials, local government representatives, local people, student and ethnic minorities this morning.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith inaugurated the three-day carnival as the chief guest through releasing balloons.
In the three-day carnival, special entertainment facilities have been organised for the tourists such as beach football, beach cricket, volleyball, kite flying, local games, water bike, ATB rides, boat rowing, beach lighting and camp fire.
