Khulna University (KU) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Fayek Uzzaman on Sunday made a courtesy call on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban.
During the meeting, the VC apprised the President of the peaceful academic atmosphere prevailing in his university, which now has over 6,000 students in its 24 departments, reports UNB.
Fayek Uzzaman invited the President, also the Chancellor of the university, to preside over its upcoming convocation.
President Hamid appreciated the congenial academic atmosphere in the university and asked the authorities to maintain it so that students can complete their studies in time.
Secretaries concerned to the President Office were present.
