The Saudi government on Monday said they will not impose any fees on financial transfers from Saudi Arabia to abroad.
The official spokesman of the Saudi Ministry of Finance declares that there is no plan for Saudi Arabia to impose government fees on financial transfers to abroad, according to a statement posted on its official webpage. Saudi Arabia is one of the top remittance-sending countries for Bangladesh.
Responding to a question on social media
reports recently being circulated that Saudi Arabia is considering a proposal to impose government fees on financial transfers to abroad, the official spokesman denied the reports.
The official confirmed that Saudi Arabia has no such plans and explained that it is committed to the principle of freedom of financial capital flow, including transfers to and from Saudi Arabia as per international trends in this regard.
