UNB, Dhaka :
Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims will enjoy immigration facilities and get pre-clearance from the customs authorities in Bangladeshi airports from the next year as the Saudi Arabia government has decided to ease the visa processing for the pilgrims.
Religious Affairs Secretary M Anisur Rahman came up with the information while talking to journalists in the morning.
“Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims will enjoy the immigration facilities in the local airports. As a result, they will not need to wait in the long queues in the immigration points of Saudi Arabian airports,” Anisur Rahman added.
A Saudi Arabian delegation will recently visit Dhaka to find out a way to install pre-clearance system in the Bangladeshi airports, he said.
Bangladeshi government will urge the Saudi Arabian delegation to introduce pre-clearance system in Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong and Osmani International Airport in Sylhet, Anisur said.
