Bangladesh Chhatra League, Kotchandpur Upazila Unit President Shaikh Shain and two others were arrested by the police on Wednesday morning.
They were arrested from the town for their alleged involvement in violating two girls on Tuesday evening.
The arrested were Shaikh Shahin, son of Fazlur Rahman of Kotchandpur Stationpara, also the president of Bangladesh Chhatra League Kotchandpur upazila unit, Krishna Kumar, son of Srikanta and Raju Ahmed, son of Harez Ali, better known as Harej Bhikkhuk of the same area. Krishna Kumar and Raju Ahmed are the body guards of Kotchandpur municipality mayor Jahidul Islam Jiray.
Locals said, two girls from neighboring Kaliganj came to Kotchandpur to visit in the house of their near ones on Tuesday.
