The Korean Cup Taekwondo championship inaugurated on Friday at National Sports Council gymnasium in the city. State Minister for Post, Telecommunications & Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak inaugurated the three-day meet as the chief guest while Ahn Seong-doo, ambassador to Korean Embassy in Dhaka, was present as the special guest.
Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation (BTF) organised the event by the initiative of Korean Embassy to Dhaka.
A total of 250 men and 300 women from 22 clubs of affiliated sports associations, districts, associations, universities, schools, boards and corporations are taking part in the meet.
