Korean community in BD provides relief to Rohingyas

The Korean community in Bangladesh has handed over emergency relief funds and items to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Bangladesh.
Sarat Dash, IOM Chief of Mission highly appreciated the Korean Communities aid efforts saying,”It’s very meaningful that this is the first aid efforts from expat communities in Bangladesh.” The total amount of the assistance is about USD 3,0000which includes USD 9,000 in cash, clothing items and tents.
The donors are the Korean residents in Bangladesh, members of Korean Investors’ Association, Textile Association, Trading Association, Missionary Association, and Independent Enterprise Association in Bangladesh.

President of the Korean Community Kim Hang-jin, Korean Ambassador Ahn Seong-doo, Korean Deputy Chief of Mission Lee Dong-jun, IOM Chief of Mission Sarat Dash, and IOM Deputy Chief of Mission Abdusattor Esoev were present at the function, said a press release on Sunday.
