The Korea Cup Taekwondo begins today (Friday) at Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium at Mirpur.
Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) Scretary General Syed Shahed Reza is expected to inaugurate the three-day meet as chief guest at 11 am.
Ahn Seong-doo, Korean Ambassador to Dhaka, will present as special guest.
Some 800 taekwondo players from different districts, associations, universities, colleges, schools, boards and corporations from across the country will take part in the meet, organized by Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation.
Asaduzzaman Noor, Minister of Cultural Affairs Ministry, will be present as chief guest at first phase closing day November 5 and distribute the prizes among the winners.
While State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Biren Sikder MP will be the chief guest in the second phase closing ceremony scheduled for same day.
