The Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament begins today at BFF Artificial Turf.
Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) has arranged the football competition, while Square Toiletries Limited is the sponsor of the meet.
Regarding this ensuing football tournament, a press conference was held at the Dutch-Bangla Bank Auditorium of Bangladesh Olympic Association Bhaban on Sunday.
After the press conference, the jersey unveiling programme and draw ceremony were held.
President of Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) Saidur Rahman Shamim, General Secretary of BSJA Junaid Hossain , Senior Marketing Manager of Square Toiletries Limited Jesmin Zaman, Head Coach of Bangladesh National Women’s Football team Golam Rabbani Choton, Convener of Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament Raihan Al Mughni were present at the programme.
A total of 24 media houses splitting into eight groups are taking in the football competition. Top one team from each group will get tickets of the quarter-finals. The winners of the quarter-finals will move into the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will face each other in the final.
Janakantha, Independent, Amader Samay are in Group-A, Maasranga TV, Channel 24, Kalerkantha are in Group-B, Dhaka Tribune, GTV, Bangladesh Protidin are in Group-C, Daily Star, News24, Jugantor are in Group-D, Samay TV, Channel i , Jgonews24.com are in Group-E, Boishakhi TV, Jamuna TV, BSS are in Group-F, Samakal, ATN Bangla, Sangbad are in Group-G, Bangla Vision, ETV, Naya Diganta are in Group-H.
The champions will be awarded Tk thirty thousand, while the runners-up will get Taka fifteen thousand.
Senior Vice-President of Bangladesh Football Federation Abdus Salam Murshedy will inaugurate the football tournament today as the chief guest.
