The Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football Tournament reached the quarterfinals stage on Sunday.
ATN Bangla, ATN News, Jamuna TV, Boishakhi TV, GTV, Channel i, Alokito Bangladesh and Samakal moved into the quarterfinals from their respective groups.
In the day’s matches, ATN News drew with Maasranga TV by 1-1 goals, GTV made a draw with RTV by 1-1 goals, Boishakhi TV settled for a 1-1 draw with Bangla Vision, Jamuna TV blanked NTV by 5-0 goals, Channel i thrashed Daily Star by 5-1 goals, ATN Bangla beat bdnews24.com by a solitary goal, Naya Diganta edged past Dhaka Tribune by 3-2 goals and Samay TV defeated SA TV by 2-1 goals. All the matches were held at the BFF Artificial Turf.
Former general secretary of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Anwarul Haque Helal, Member of BFF Razlur Rahman Babul, Director of the Technical Committee of BFF Jobaer Alam Nipu, former general secretary of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation Rafiqul Islam Tipu, President of Bangladesh Sports Press Association Hasan Ullah Khan Rana, former president of Bangladesh Sports Journalists Community Nasimul Hasan, Member of BSJA Kamal Ahmed, former general secretary of BSJA Saidur Rahman Shamim and member of BSJA Arifur Rahman Babu distributed the prizes of the Man of the Match.
