Philipp Kohlschreiber completed his preparations for the French Open by defeating Ivo Karlovic of Croatia 6-2, 7-6 (7/4) in the final of the ATP Nuremberg Open on Saturday.
It was the fourth time that the 30-year-old left-hander from Augsburg had won on German turf after Munich (2007 and 2012) and Halle (2011).
Kohlschreiber has a first round draw against Spaniard Pere Riba in Paris. He reached the French Open fourth round in 2008 and 2012.
