KL team visits BD to boost up investment

Newly elected president of Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) Syed Moazzam Hossain welcomed Malaysian 10-member business delegation led by Dato’ Tan Seng Sung of TC Management Service Corporation Sdn Bhd on Monday at BMCCI Office.
Moazzam Hossain initiated the discussion and briefed the forthcoming plan of activities of BMCCI, said a press release.
Highlighting the business scenario between Bangladesh and Malaysia, he emphasized on potential trade and investment in Bangladesh in different sectors.
Dato’ Tan Seng Sung briefed about the objectives of their visit and said they are interested in investing in solar development projects, ICT, franchising e-garage, assembling of truck and bus and they are also considering to venture into processing of agro products.
BMCCI president said the government has a plan to go for 2400 MW power generation for renewable energy and solar in 2021 in renewable energy sector.
He said Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) along with BMCCI is going to organise ICT Showcase in April next in Kuala Lumpur.
“The government is going to setup IT park in every corner of the country to utilize its huge ICT trained manpower,” he said, adding that Malaysia can be a good partner with Bangladesh to involve in ICT or IOT sector.
